MANSFIELD, OH — In order to address a problem, you have to understand it.
That’s why the Richland County Youth Substance Use Coalition (RCYSUC) is collecting data on perceptions of youth alcohol use. The coalition is asking for the community’s help through an anonymous survey for parents and guardians.
“The purpose of the survey is to better understand how parents and guardians perceive youth substance use in Richland County,” said Gurpinder Deol, a public health educator at Richland Public Health. “This data is important because no work should be done without the community’s input. Your help will help guide the Coalition and its prevention efforts.”

The RCYSUC exists to empower Richland County youth, families and the community to reduce youth substance use through education, intervention and prevention. The coalition’s work is funded through a Drug Free Communities grant.
